Grade In Just a Few Clicks.
At GradeWiz we believe that speeding up the process of grading empowers
instructors to spend more time where it counts: teaching students. We automate the process of
filling out a rubric with the latest and most powerful generative AI models, giving professors
full control over how work is assessed through the creation of a rubric and a solution set.
After a professor has created a rubric for an assignment or exam, grading occurs in a
few easy steps:
Student Uploads Work
Once a student has submitted their exam or assignment, GradeWiz utilizes computer vision techniques to segment that work into its component questions.
AI feedback generated
After segmentation, GradeWiz converts handwriting into text and harnesses large language models to fill out the grading rubric and provide detailed feedback to the student.
Grades & Feedback Reviewed by Instructor
Once GradeWiz has scored a student's work, all the instructor has to do is review and confirm those scores—a much more time efficient process than grading work from scratch.
Feedback and Grades Given to Students
With the grading process finished, a professor can release scores to students in one click.
Analytics Released
GradeWiz instantly computes grading statistics such as the mean and standard deviation of students' scores.
Finish five hours of grading in fifteen minutes
Intelligent
Grading
GradeWiz utilizes a large language model fine-tuned for filling out
grading rubrics, identifying errors in work and providing detailed feedback to students. Once an
instructor has created a grading rubric, GradeWiz simply checks boxes within it, computing
a student's score in a way that is tailored to the professor's grading style.
Handwriting Recognition
GradeWiz’s state of the art computer vision model is more accurate at identifying text
in handwriting than humans, giving students the freedom to handwrite their work. Never waste
another second trying to decipher bad handwriting.
Personalized
Feedback
Not only does our language model complete the grading process for instructors, but it provides
far more feedback for every question than a TA ever could. Students will never be left guessing
why they received a certain score, nor will the professor reviewing GradeWiz’s feedback.
Our team
GradeWiz was founded at Cornell University in Ithaca, NY. After spending multiple semesters as teaching assistants, we noticed that the grading software we were using lagged far behind advancements in AI. So we set out to create GradeWiz, speeding up the grading process ten fold while producing a more personalized grading experience.
